Meet our NEW Produce Manager, Luis!

Meet Luis, our new Produce Manager! He has many new ideas for our produce department.
According to Luis they are working towards making the produce department more categorized and grouped. You may not know this but putting some produce side by side may actually cause premature ripening. While other grocery stores just toss everything together, Delucchi’s produce department ensures that everything is structured and positioned properly. We hope this new way of organizing our produce will be more convenient and helpful for you.
Luis also has an artistic nature and will be putting produce together in artful ways that create a more pleasing visual display. Be on the lookout for that and let him know your eyes appreciate it !
Another project that the produce department is working towards is adding more fresh cut fruits and vegetables for ready to go and ready to cook items. Although we have a wide variety of quick & easy ready to go and ready to cook meals we want to add more choices for you! If you have any recommendations along these lines please let us know.
Luis does his best to source local produce whenever possible. Luis states, “I personally prefer local stuff and California-grown items. We still carry produce from outside sources to be able to provide those items to our customers. But we like supporting our local farmers because we’re a neighborhood market!”
